I'm

Biography

Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be an electrical engineer. My journey was triggered when my cousin turned on a tiny LED for me when I was just 5 YO. Electricity was a kind of mystery for me, and I choose to be a Power Engineer to solve this mystery and know how it is Generated, Transmitted, and Distributed. I passed the entrance exam for algorithm and programming classes in the first year of high school. I got familiar with programming and the open-source world in this period and touched on some parts of computer science by participating in RoboCup Simulation 2D League. After continuing my education as a Power Engineer, I decided to enter the industry to develop my soft skills and make more sense of the power system operation as one of my main research interests during the master's degree. In 2018 I joined MNC as a SCADA engineer and worked in critical infrastructures like control centers and electrical substations. Working in an interdisciplinary environment, including Power System Operation & Control, Telecommunications, and IT, allows me to expand my skills and work with different Automation Software and devices. In 2020 after graduation, when I came across ICS Cybersecurity, I got a new perspective and tried to broaden my knowledge in this field besides using it in an Operational environment. My path continues, and I'm working on a research project about identifying and analyze cascading failures in the transmission power grids in partnership with TREC (Tehran Regional Electric Company).
